Memory Lane | Grandma White and the holidays

My momma's momma. 

She is amazing.  I could talk your ear off for hours about how wonderful she is.

I know that I am blessed that my children get to know her.  

She is who I want to be when I grow up.

This lady can pray.  

When she lifts up your prayers, the mountains move.  

She'll be the first to tell you that she and Jesus talk daily.

Christmas days under the big dining room table..

Her unending love for my Grandpa who went ahead to build our mansion in heaven over thirty years ago...

I love my memories of her.  

I smile ear to ear knowing that I am loved by her.

This year was the first year we haven't rushed to a hospital in a few years.  

I am so thankful for her health and her love.  

If I get just one ounce of her grace and spunk, I will be set for life.

Hooray for no hospital visits this year!! My favorite Christmas memories would probably be Christmas Eve at Nonni's house with the extended family and singing Messiah choruses with orchestra for choir.

Did you know we named the elves? Blue was Sue, that was always her pose, and red was Margaret because of her gymnastics. Mom has had those for more than 50+ years.

Love this post! Hard not to love prayer warriors!! :) I have so many awesome holiday memories: the year I got my Cabbage Patch doll, when they were sold out EVERYWHERE; the year I got my zero degree mummy sleeping bag; the year my mom cried while giving me an add-a-pearl necklace (remember those?!?!?). But my favorite memories all revolve around family. And my Momma's momma, who passed away the year I graduated college, hosted Christmas every year at her house. I always helped her decorate, climbing up in the attic to bring down the treasures. My favorite ornament was the angel that topped her tree. And the story that came with it. My grandmother had to set aside money out of their grocery budget to afford it. But she did. And I now have that angel. And the story that goes with it. :)
