A few weeks ago, I posted a picture on Instagram and Facebook about it just being on of those days. My sweet friend, Amy, who I will meet in real life someday, replied, "When it is one of those days, lean in. Lean in to Him."
These words absolutely meant the world to me. (Just know - if you ever feel like commenting on a friend's post, you never know - those words may be exactly what they need to hear that day.)
The past few weeks, if I felt like walking into another room, I tried to sit on the floor next to him.
If a particular timeout didn't seem to work, we'd go to a quiet room and read a book and pray. Those have quickly become some of the most peaceful times for us.
Leaning in is counter intuitive for me. I tend to pull away. I avoid confrontation.
It has been good. I'm relearning being a mom of a two year old.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
